In 2019 I organised a public meeting in my constituency to highlight the above. It was extremely well attended. From across the county. I was delighted that Minister for Disability Issues, Finian McGrath, TD accepted my invitation to speak at this meeting to update the public on the ratification. The panel also included Cystic Fibrosis Ireland Ambassador, Benat Broderick, Disability Rights activist, Seán O’Kelly both citizens of Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown and campaigners on disability issues.
